Description
Airstream DeSoto – Black and white 13 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ ad that wants you to consider owning an Airstream DeSoto. There is a picture taken from ground level looking at the front end of a parked DeSoto and a man and woman that are using it to lounge on as they talk. The headline asks you to “Put yourself in this Picture!” but the text talks about actually driving it instead of using it as a piece of furniture. It talks about grabbing the wheel and having 93 horsepower suddenly at your command and being able to travel along at 80 miles an hour in comfort, “guarded from every usual bump and bounce”. It talks about the chassis redesign that has allowed this car to now ride like “the famous Airflow“ and how you will feel “as heads turn to watch you go by”. It then mentions that “The Airstream costs little more than the lowest-priced cars” and mentions a starting price of $695.
