Description

Campbell's Ad 1939Full color 8 3/4″ x 12″ ad that talks about the Campbell’s Cream Soups that provide you with “Four tempting ways to give your child More Milk. There are pictures with bowls filled with Cream of PeaCream of AsparagusCream of Celery and Cream of Tomato. The captions under each picture explain that Campbell’s did not, at this time, make these particular soups but by the actions of a caring mother adding the right amount of milk to the appropriate soup instead of water, the child would be given a tasty meal that would “sneak” more milk into their system. The text reminds us of the fact that doctor’s have long told us that growing children need milk and this is a very good way to accomplish the feat.
