Description

Simca Ad August 19601960 Simca – Black and white 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for the 1960 Simca that is shown parked next to a horse with a harness on and the horse is turning and looking into the driver’s seat to see if anyone is there. The headline says “Move over, Dobbin” and then “Make way for the 50 horsepower, 4-speed Simca – the Percheron of economy imports. This is the car that puts in a full day’s work on very little fuel and absolutely no pampering. It holds 14 world endurance records, set by travelling the 62,157 miles in 887 consecutive hours – stopping only for oil, gas and to change driver’s”. If you are interested in short haul power, Simca has been known to pull a bus from a standing start”. This car is imported by Chrysler.
