Description
1970 Ski-doo – Full color 9 3/4″ x 13 1/2″ ad for the 1970 Ski-doo Series of Snowmobiles. Pictured in this ad is a man flying as he is scooting across some flatland (might even be a frozen lake) with mountains in the background. The headline says that you can “Take it from people who know, Ski-doo is the one rugged enough to conquer the pole!”. It then says that “Last year, four men on Ski-doo snowmobiles rewrote a page of history. For 44 days, they faced the worst the Artic could offer, 835 miles later, the U.S. Air Force told them, ‘You’ve reached the North Pole. Wherever you go from here is South’. If a snowmobile can take that kind of punishment, it has to be good. But being good isn’t good enough. Once again, we’ve gone all out to go one better than the rest. Better performance. Ski-doo has more dependable power for climbing, towing, turning around. Better ride. Smoother over the bumps. More stable in the turns. And no snowmobile is so light-footed – over deep, deep snow. Better selection. For 1970, we offer five Ski-doo series, each with a totally different personality. If it’s luxury you’re after we have it. If it’s economy we have a Ski-doo so low-priced many people are buying two. If you want the number one choice in snowmobiles, in high fashion winter sportswear and accessories, see your Ski-doo dealer”.
