Description

Carnation Ad May 1944Full color 10″ x 14″ ad for their Unsweetened Evaporated Irradiated Milk. There is a drawing of a young boy with a floppy hat showing a wide-eyed little girl the spot in his mouth where a baby tooth recently fell out. He is telling her that “They come back strong…when you eat your milk, too!”. This wartime ad reminds us to use whatever method we could to get the proper vitamins and the ad contains a recipe for Veal Batter Pie as it mentions other free wartime recipes were available from Carnation.
