Description

Western Electric Ad 1964Full color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad that discusses the work that goes into the equipment that we all use to make a phone call. The headline calls attention to “The anatomy of a telephone call” and has a picture of a rotary telephone with a see-through case. The text mentions how Western Electric is the part of the Bell System that provides the equipment that allows all of the different parts work together. It explains that a telephone consists of “475 precision-made parts” which are necessary to enable something that we take for granted like a phone call to be made. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
