Description
VW Bug – Black and white 10″ x 13″ ad that highlights the universal aspects of this unique vehicle. There is a photo of a Bug parked in an ice-covered desolate scene with the passenger reaching out to wave his gloved hand and his thickly covered arm. The car has a front license plate that says Antarctica 1 and the ad headline claims that this is “The first car at the bottom of the world”. The text talks about how “any member of the party could hop into and drive off without a moment’s hesitation” and reminds us that it is air-cooled so there is no water to worry about freezing up. It also mentions the superior traction you get with a rear-engine car but there is not a whisper about the wimpy heater.
