Description
Full color 8″ x 10 3/4″ ad for their New King-Size Filter Tip cigarette. The ad has a picture of a young lady, identified as Joan Philipp (Smith ’54) talking to three male cheerleaders with a blue “Y” on their white sweaters while standing on the football field of a full stadium. The ad headline says “Smith Girl Leads the Cheers (for Viceroy)” and the text claims she is letting the boys know just cigarette the girls are smoking. The ad claims that “Viceroy now brings you Double the Filtering Action to Double your smoking pleasure” with the explanation that the double action comes from a filter and the King-Size length.
