Description
1970 Corollas – Black and white 9 3/4″ x 13″ ad that has a picture of a man standing next to “The three Corollas from Toyota $1686 $1816 $1836″ and another, smaller picture, lower down that shows this same man holding up and jingling a set of keys “Or $5338 for all three”. The text begins by saying “Why not? A Corolla Sedan, a Corolla Wagon and a Corolla Fastback…all for the price of one $5338 automobile”. It then says that “With each Corolla you get about 30 miles to the gallon. Speeds of 87 mph. Five main bearings instead of the usual three. And a lifetime free of chassis lubrication. In all, you’d have three rows of reclining bucket seats, yards of wall-to-wall Nylon carpeting; and the fastest, quietest rides in the low-priced field”.
