Description

Texaco Oil Ad 1937Three color 7 3/4″ x 11 3/4″ ad that talks about How and Why the New Texaco Motor Oil is so free from impurities. There is a picture of a somber farmer driving his tractor and the headline claimed that “He solved a problem for the Oil Refiner”. It turns out that Furfural which is found in oats, corn, wheat, cotton seed and sugar cane can be added to oil and becomes a perfect cleanser. The text describes what happens to an engine which is running with oil that is full of impurities and how much of a better job of lubrication this New Texaco Motor Oil, priced at only 25 cents a quart, will do for your tractor or your automobile. The ad also indicates that Texaco was sponsoring Eddie Cantor every Sunday night on Columbia Network.
