Description

Swift’s Ad 1947Full color 10″ x 14″ ad that introduces the Swift’s Meats for Babies and Meats for Juniors. The ad starts off with the introduction “Mothers! Here’s an important new development in infant feeding”. There is a picture of a mother holding a happy young child and, in a yellow or orange headline, it says “At last, body-building MEATS are specially prepared – strained for young babies, diced for older babies – ready to heat and serve”. There is a picture of each of the two foods and more information about each. It also says that they were offering 6 strained and 6 diced meats: Beef, Veal, Lamb, Liver, Pork and (believe it or not) Heart.
