Description
1965 Sunbeam Imp – Black and white 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad that describes the history of the engine in this car, the historic value of it, then proclaims that “It had to be good to cross the ocean”. There is a picture of one sitting next to the ocean where waves are rolling in and the male driver sits with his surfboard protruding out the back. The story is that, during the blitz of Britain in World War II, there was a need for motors to provide water pressure to enable water to be able to douse the fires that burned as a result of the bombing. Now it has risen again into a economical family car with a racer’s heart.
