Description

Studebaker Truck Ad 1950Studebaker Trucks – Full color 10″ x 13 1/2″ ad for the line of trucks that are “Noted for low-cost operation”. The ad has a picture of a Blue 3/4-ton 8-ft Pickup being driven by a family of three past a springtime farm where the cattle are grazing in a meadow with no fences. The caption mentions that Pick-ups were also available in a 1/2-ton 6 1/2-ft and a 1-ton 8-ft version. The ad headline encourages you to “Cut your farm expense – get a thrifty Studebaker truck” and the ad mentions a few of the cost-saving features which include automatic overdrive. There are pictures at the bottom which help discuss some of the other features such as having a truck just right in size and wheelbase (it mentions having a 2-ton and a 1 1/2 ton to go along with the 1-ton, the 3/4-ton and the 1/2-ton previously mentioned), that All the family likes this roomy cab, the Studebaker pi ck-up box is double-walled and that it is built by father-and-son teams. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
