Description

Schwinn Bicycle Ad 1968Full color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad that is for the Schwinn Bicycles that were available. The ad has a picture of a Christmas morning in a house that just seemed to be spending their big-dollars on Schwinn. In this scene the parents are standing on their stairway happy as could be as their two sons are happy as they are looking at the bicycles standing there. There is a bike sized for the younger boy, next to that is a stationary bike, possibly for the mother and then there is a taller, ten-speed bike for dad. The older boy seems to be holding up what looks to be a unicycle. The headline for this ad says there is “One-Stop Shopping for Christmas…at your Schwinn Franchised Dealer”. It then says that “1968 is a family cycling year – and Schwinn takes the confusion out of Christmas shopping at your nearby Schwinn Franchised Dealer. Junior bikes, Sting-Ray models of sophisticated modern 10-speed bikes. Your dealer has a huge selection in every price, style or color. Each one assembled, adjusted and ready-to-ride. Stocking stuffers too – accessories to make riding more fun. Whatever your interest, there is only one bike headquarters – your nearby Schwinn Franchised Dealer”.
