Description
Full color 10″ x 12 1/2″ ad for their Menthol Fresh Filter Cigarettes. The ad has a picture of a peaceful day on a farm. A couple is standing between a split rail fence and a field of corn and, while the lady is putting a rose in the pocket of a scarecrow, the man is standing by preparing to light a cigarette. He had better be careful because, from what I remember from The Wizard of Oz, scarecrows don’t like fire. The ad headline claims that “Salem softness freshens your taste with the smoothest flavor in cigarettes today”. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
