Full color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad for their Menthol Fresh Filter Cigarettes. The ad has a picture that shows a very fresh and green scene. A couple has wandered to a spot by a still stream that is surrounded by ferns, trees and straight-growing trees and they are standing there smoking their Salem cigarettes. The ad headline claims there is “Springtime softness in every puff” and that “You’ll smoke with a fresh enthusiasm when you discover the cool ‘air-softened’ taste of Salem“. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
