Full color 10″ x 13 1/2″ ad with the photo giving the information “High above the blue Caribbean we discovered this famous Puerto Rican mountain rum“ Ron Merito. This message appears on a drawing of an “Old Sentry Box dating back to the 16th century at El Murro Fortress, Puerto Rico” which shows this being on the edge of the sea and having a three-masted schooner sailing by an island in the distance. We are told that “It’s mountain distilling that produces this finer rum” and that “There is a difference in Ron Merito which your palate will instantly recognize and relish – a flavor captured thousands of feet above sea level, in a little Puerto Rican mountain valley where soil, sun, weather and water are ideal for distilling perfect rum”.
