Description

Quaker State Oil Ad 1937Black and white 5″ x 11 3/4″ ad for the fact that using Quaker State Oil in your automobile will give you one less thing to worry about. There is a picture with a car of the time-period parked at the edge of a stream and at least seven young boys are playing in the water and around the car. The ad headline calls this the “Care-free days of youth” and the ad text claims that you can “Keep young by casting off unnecessary cares”. The ad mentions that a quart of this oil was priced at 35 cents and talks about the First Quart Test. This test consisted of “1. Drain crancase and refill with Quaker State. 2. Note the mileage: and “3. See how far you go before you have to add the telltale first quart”.
