Description

Oldsmobile 78 Club Sedan – Black and white 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad with a picture of a Light-Colored Oldsmobile Two-Door parked with a woman driving it and a man standing by the passenger side door. They are both looking over at the woman standing in the front of the picture with two suitcases by her feet and a very modern white coat on. In these times of “trying-to-get-ahead” this Oldsmobile ad even had an ad for the white coat. The words under her feet say “For the smart traveler – a new Norfolk Jacket by Monte Sano – a new “78” Club Sedan by Oldsmobile. Getting back to the main purpose of the ad it claims that “It’s Smart to own an Olds. It then gets into it by saying “Here’s a tip for the travel-minded! Take to the road in a smart new Oldsmobile…and you’ll be going in style!. In a car that looks just as modern as next years fashions…and is just as modern as it looks. Traveling is easier too, in an Oldsmobile with GM Hydra-Matic Drive. No clutch pedal to bother with. No gear shifting to think about. Any route is a better route…automatically…when you go the Hydra-Matic way. So take a trip to your Oldsmobile dealer’s and see the 1947 Oldsmobile – the smart new car that’s really “going places” this year”.
