Full color 9 1/2″ x 12″ ad for Newport Filter Cigarettes. This ad has a photo of a man and a woman on a sailboat smoking as they stare at each other and begin to get friendly. The ad headline claims that “Newport smokes fresher!” and then, at the bottom of the picture, it finishes the thought with “…and tastes better than any other menthol cigarette!”. Next to the Cool Green pack of Newport Cigarettes sitting in the bottom right side of this ad, it mentions “fine white filter menthol and mint great-tasting tobaccos”.
