There is a picture of a package of these cookies, opened and spilling over, next to rows of ripe Figs and the headline promises you that “When you buy Fig Newtons, you buy a lot of figs.” The text promises that with Fig Newtons you will get “real fig taste” because there is no skimping with this product. You will also be assured of freshness due to it being double wrapped and having “two individual stay-moist stack packs.”
