Mercury Comet – Full color 9 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ ad with a drawing of a red two-door parked in a line of sports car types. The ad headline explains that “We couldn’t build Comet much tougher – so we built it more beautiful for ’65”. The text says that “Now Comet’s got a shining new wrap for all that ruggedness underneath”. It even claims that you can go from a 200 cu. in. to a Cyclone Super 289 V-8 225 hph. The claim is made that this is the world’s 100,000 mile durability champion.
