Description

Mead Motorcycle Ad 19411941 Rangers – Black and white 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ ad for the 8 Models that were available for a variety of purposes. Pictured in the ad are four of the different versions under the headline urging you to “Let Your Dreams Come True with a new Ranger Scooter. It goes on to say that you can “Make big money” because you can “Ride, Rent or Sell!”. The text calls it the “World’s cheapest transportation” and suggests a few of the unique ways you can create an income when you own one of these scooters. It talks about the incredible gas mileage by claiming “120 miles per gallon 30 m.p.h.” and even says “Vacationers Cross U.S.A. for $6 Gas!”. The thought of trying to last for 3,000 miles on the roads of 1941 on a seat such as this make me realize that gas expenditure would be a lot less than the cost of the aspirin and beer needed.
