Description

Lawn-Boy Ad April 1957Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for their line of Lawn Mowers with special emphasis on their Automowers. The largest picture shows a man using a 21″ Automower to cut his yard and he seems to be trying to convince the lady standing next to him that, since it is self-propelled, even she could do it. The headline calls it “Lawn Mowing Luxury!” and the top picture explains the New Activated Pilot Wheel that is able to keep the Lawn-Boy level and your lawn looking professionally cut. The next picture shows how easily it can cut to within three eighths of an inch from trees and bushes to eliminate the need for hand trimming. The last picture demonstrates the fact that “There’s not an inch of unused space or metal” and that “It’s precision cast and machined from lightweight aluminum” as it shows another lady lifting the mower up. The text mentions that there were “eight beautiful models” available at this time.
