Description

International Harvester WW2 Ad June 1944Full color 10″ x 13 1/2″ ad that details what the trucking industry was doing now that new trucks were not to be sold. They said that “A river of fuel that flows on trucks from the plains of Oklahoma for the planes that bomb Berlin”. Something big is going on in Duncan, Oklahoma but what was it. The Army and the Navy told the refiners that they needed 100 octane gas and what could they do to assist them. Oklahoma and Texas refiners got together and pooled their output of fuel so that America’s warplanes could do their job. A new refinery was built in Duncan, OK and they had 30 International Trucks rolling back and forth before long. These Internationals are the same as the battle-tested International Half-Tracks and they are driven with the same famous International Red Diamond engines. There is a little item in the left side that says that there is a limited supply of new International trucks being built and sold.
