Description

Hunt’s Ad 1968Full color 10″ x 13 1/2″ ad that gives us a choice of how we want our tomato taste. The ad offers us, a big stack of sliced tomatoes on the left, with the caption saying “Here’s big tomato taste the hard way…” and, on the right, we have a bottle of Hunt’s Tomato Catsup, and the caption “…and the easy way”. The ad text tells us that “You’d have to slice up as many as two pounds of plump, California tomatoes to get the same amount of big tomato taste a single bottle of Hunt’s Catsup has. Even then, you couldn’t match us for flavor. We simmer then slowly with seven spices to make a catsup so rich and thick, no one’s ever been able to duplicate it. So why bother? Take the easy way. Just pick up a bottle of Hunt’s. Case closed.
