Description
Black and white 13 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ ad for one of the Finest British Bicycles. There is a picture of one of these Bicycles with captions and circles highlighting features worth bringing to your attention. The text brings attention to the Three-speed Planetary Gears, the Light Weight and the Extra Spokes in the Driving Wheel. I hadn’t noticed the spokes in the illustration til I read their mention of it in the text but it is a very unique pattern of spoking and I am not sure if the actual bicycle had as few spokes and large gaps between them as the picture seems to indicate. The text also claims that this bicycle is “Made by the world’s largest bicycle manufacturer and the only wheel which carries the British Royal Warrant”.
The image on this page is rotated 90 degrees to the right from the way it appeared on the magazine page. The headline on the ad, “Turning the bicycle world upside down”, were the only words that could be read without turning the magazine. The tall portion of the ad is larger than my scanner bed so I am unable to show everything that anyone who purchases this ad will receive.
