Description

Heinz Ad 1938Black and white 10″ x 14″ ad for their Tomato Juice that is made with their famous Aristocrat Tomato. The ad has three pictures that show some of what it takes to make them so special. The first picture is captioned “No lucky chance” and shows a group of workers packing the choicest greenhouse seedlings to be transferred to out-of-door beds. The second picture is captioned “Summertime” and shows farm workers unloading plants from trucks in preparation of planting them in the fields. The third picture is captioned “Plucked at Dawn” and shows countless baskets of these Aristocrat tomatoes that have been picked and are in the process of being shipped to the Heinz kitchens where they will be processed before nightfall. Another picture, captioned “Out in the Cold”, shows a cooler filled with cans of Heinz Tomato Juice while the last picture, captioned “To Your Health!”, shows a group of people formally dressed lifting glasses filled with Tomato Juice. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
