Black and white 5″ x 13 3/4″ ad for Gem Micromatic Razor and Blades. This ad has a picture of a young boy with a very sly look on his face as he is standing at the front door and he is saying to the man who is asking, “Sis says she’s out!”. The ad then says “Don’t let ‘5 O’clock Shadow’ get you a cool reception”. It then tells you that “If she’s out to you when she’s in to others – perhaps ‘5 O’Clock Shadow’ is to blame. No woman likes that messy beard growth which appears prematurely in late afternoon…Gem Razor’s scientifically built bevel head gets the beard at skin level; the 50% thicker Gem Blade, stropped 4840 times to super-sharpness, leaves behind not the slightest trace of whiskers!
