This ad, which has a picture of a 1940 De Soto 2-Two-Door parked in front of, what looks like a hotel or something similar, because there is a man by the back of the car that has unloaded quite a few pieces of luggage from the car. The ad headline asks of the “1936-’37-’38 Car Owners! Have you ever had any of these EXPERIENCES?”. It then shows four boxes with a spot to check if you have had experience with it. “Does Shifting Gears Ever Embarass You When 3 Ride In Front? * Do You Have To Remove the Luggage to Get to the ‘Spare’? * Have You Ever Needed More Light For Safe Driving? * Did You Ever Catch Cold from a ‘Drafty’ Door?. We’re not saying that your present car isn’t a good car. But – if you answer ‘yes’ to one or more of the questions that you have just read – you owe it to yourself to see and drive the 1940 De Soto. There is a banner in the photo of the car in the parking lot saying that you could pay “Prices $20 to $48 Kiwer Than Last Year”.
