Description
Three color 5 1/4″ x 13″ ad for their Enriched 5 minute and Regular cereals. The ad has a five frame cartoon of Li’l Abner by Al Capp. The storyline is the people of Dogpatch having a scrap gathering contest with Daisy Mae as the prize. Li’l Abner is expected to win but he shows up with boxes of Cream of Wheat. When questioned as to his choice he explains that he will eat the cereal and “After them vitamins an’ minerals in they Cream of Wheat ah c’d dig up some nice Fresh iron – but this’ll do!!” as he carries a steam shovel overhead. This ad is taller than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
