Description
Black and white 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for Champion Spark Plugs. This ad has a picture of a man, Carl Kiekhaefer, standing between two of his race cars and surrounded by 20 or 30 trophies. The ad tells us that “Carl Kiekhaefer gets more power from his Chrysler-built cars with 5-rib Champion spark plugs. He’s shown here with two of his big winners and part of his remarkable trophy collection”. The headline in this ad tells us that a “Big Winner in stock car racing uses Champion spark plugs!” and then it says “And Champions can give your car more power, too! And if you’ve gone 10,000 miles without a spark plug change, they can increase your road horsepower by 24%”. There is even photos that show the difference between the ordinary electrode as to how it burned and the Champion Powerfire electrode after similar usage.
