Full color 10″ x 14″ ad for the fact that Candy is Delicious Food. This is one ad that made countless children happy because their parents had the ad series that said that Beer was America’s Beverage of Moderation and this ad, and others like it, spoke for them. The headline asks “Wouldn’t you like some Candy“ and there are three different pictures of adults finding a reason to enjoy. There is a picture of a young man in a bow tie who has brought a heart-shaped assortment of assorted candies to his young lady, a newspaper reporter typing with one hand and refueling his body with a candy bar held in his other and a bellman at a hotel smiling as he holds forth a bag of candy to you, the reader. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
