It says they are on a “Shortcut to a lunch that’s long on energy. Campbell’s Vegetable Beef Soup“. Below this is a larger picture that shows what they were heading for, a cup of coffee, a single-sided sandwich and a big bowl of their Campbell’s Vegetable Beef Soup. Next are the words “They always eat better when you remember the soup”. The ad tries to make this sound reasonable, saying that “They need a whole meal halfway through the day – a lunch that gives them energy for a strenuous afternoon”. They claim that you will get red meat, sun-ripened vegetables and sturdy beef broth when you eat this meal.
