Full color 9 3/4″ x 13 1/2″ ad that called our attention to their Campbell’s Vegetable Soup, Campbell’s Bean with Bacon Soup and their Campbell’s Asparagus Soup. The headline in this ad says that “For Winter-Sharp Appetites – Soup is one good answer…Delicious, Nourishing And So Easy To Fix”. It then gave the Four Steps that would be involved in doing this. One is to open – you can’t call that toil; Two’s to add water and bring to a boil; Three is to serve it in a cup, bowl or plate; Four’s to enjoy it come early, come late. It has drawings of what each bowl of their soup would look like. At the top of the Campbell’s Vegetable Soup where it claims that it is “Filled with the nourishment of beef stock and vegetables”. At the bottom left it shows the Campbell’s Asparagus Soup for which it just says “Smo-o-o-th and delicious” and, last, it shows a bowl of the Campbell’s Bean with Bacon Soup which it claims is “Hearty-Eating and “Different”.
