Description

Campbell's Ad 1945Full color 10″ x 14″ ad with a taste towards Campbell’s Vegetable Soup. The ad is a full page ad and it shows a dinner table, for the time period, of a bowl (with ears) containing an amount of Campbell’s Vegetable Soup. The implements are according to the time period, plates, bowls and glass of water. The ad headline promises “A meal with a Promise of real enjoyment and indicates that you should “Cheer up, appetite – somebody’s been shopping for you”. Then it says “They’ve chosen the most succulent of sweet corn, tomatoes red and ripe and glowing from sunshine, young lime beans and a dozen other fine vegetables for your supper. They’ve bought lean beef and simmered it to make a stock that is hearty and tantalizing. Then they’ve blended the vegetables and beef stock together ever so carefully – and here it is – Campbell’s Vegetable Soup.
