Description
Full color 10″ x 12 1/2″ ad for their Vegetable Soup. The ad shows a mother spooning soup into a bowl and saying “So rich and hearty it’s far better than my own!”. The headline at the top of the ad calls it “A soup full of Flavor and Food Value for these strenuous War Days!” and the text talks about conforming to “the Government’s wartime requirements calling for soups of higher food value and more nourishment”. It then adds that meeting this requirement has raised the production cost but “the Government has authorized a higher price to cover the added cost”. The Campbell Kid is sitting at the bottom of the text holding up two fingers in a “V” for Victory.
