Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 3/4″ ad that is for Borden’s Dutch Chocolate Drink. This ad has a photo of a little boy sitting at a table and working on drinking from a glass that is filled with chocolate milk and chocolate ice cream. As he sits there drinking, Elsie the Cow is standing there saying “I see you’ve got a pipeline to Holland”. The ad says that “That super Double Dutch that you’ve just invented is made with real Dutch cocoa, you know. It’s in Borden’s Ice Cream and it’s in Borden’s Chocolate Drink, too. And wasn’t it nice of Borden to go all the way to Holland for Dutch cocoa with its deep, rich and wonderful chocolaty taste! And then to make it and blend it to make Borden’s Dutch Chocolate Ice Cream and Borden’s Dutch Chocolate Drink. That’s why mad scientists like you can dream up such delicious concoctions. But when you’re finished, don’t forget to clean up the kitchen”. Sounds like my mother got to him!
