Description

Belmont Ad 1945Full color 10″ x 13 1/2″ wartime ad meant to ensure the public that Belmont would be producing televisions with the same quality that their radios have been known for. The ad has a drawing of a little boy watching a baseball game on a set that has a pop-up picture and the caption claims that “By showing a black and white picture on the television screen in the above illustration, Belmont is being realistic. This is the type of picture you can expect to see. But when television in color is ready and practical, Belmont will have it for you”. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
