Description
Black and white 10″ x 13 3/4″ ad for Antique Bourbon that, according to it’s label, is “Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey” and “Distilled in the Slow Old Fashioned Way For and Bottled by Frankfort Distilling Co.”. They have a slightly looking-up-at-the-label view of it that has the entire label in the picture. They have you thinking that “If you’ve never heard of Antique Bourbon, you’re not alone” but we are here to educate everyone. The ad continues, “Few people have. But they’re devoted to it. For them, Antique Bourbon recaptures the character of the great, pre-Prohibition bourbons. Robust and mellow. Without any bite. We make our sour mash the gentle, old-fashioned way. It’s never heated over 212 degrees. So the flavor comes through without the slightest roughness. We could make more whiskey if we used higher temperatures to hurry things along. But then there’d be a danger of harshness. That’s something you’ll never find in Antique Bourbon. Our admirers regard it as the “real stuff”. Sip a little. Chances are you’ll find their enthusiasm contagious”.
