Description
Black and white 10″ x 13″ ad for “Ford’s famous English-built economy car”. The ad teases us with the claims that “You get Amazingly Low-Cost Driving with Anglia“ and claims that beside the 2-Door that is shown you can also get the 4-Door Prefect and the Thames Panel Truck in the 1/4 or 1/2 Ton size. There is a list of eleven features you will get when you buy one of these cars. You will get Flag-type directional signals, a car-width parcel shelf, a Briggs coach body, an oversize trunk, the car is 152″ long, a unique jack-up system operated from the interior, luxury upholstery, a 4-cylinder engine producing 30 H.P., up to 40 miles per gallon, standard left-hand drive and 4-wheel mechanical brakes. Plus this car is “Available in 4 hardy lacquer paints” and there is also the fact that you could get “Service at Ford Dealers everywhere”. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
