1917 Overland Model Eighty-Five Four – Three color 7 1/2″ x 11″ ad for the $895 car that they refer to as “An Unmatched Success”. The ad has a picture of this car with the top down and talks with glowing praise for the Thirty-Five horsepower engine, the cantilever rear springs and the 112 inch wheelbase, all available for the amazing price of $895. Their claim is that “Year after year for many years the thirty-five horsepower Overland has outsold, by a wide margin, all cars of such comfortable size”.
