Description

Cord Ad 19371937 Cord – Black and white 2 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad that discusses the fact that only the elite and the discriminating will own a Cord. There is a picture that shows a stylishly-dressed couple sitting in, what looks like, the back seat of a Cord and another picture that shows the front end of a parked Cord. The text explains that when you see a woman in a Cord, you “take it for granted that she wears Paris originals” and that any man in a Cord “knows his polo ponies”. It calls owning this car “a constant joy” and talks about shifting gears “with the touch of a finger”. It mentions being made at the Auburn Automobile Company in Connersville, Indiana.
