Campbell’s Ad - 1964 SeptemberFull color 9 3/4″ x 13″ ad that is for Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup. This ad starts off with a crowd of people staring hungrily at something that seems to be in front of them, in fact, it just might be the bowl of Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup that is being labeled in the next picture. The headline claims that “They always eat better when you remember the soup” and the way that the picture looks, I would have to agree. The ad continues by saying that “The world’s really big eaters are little ones. No two alike. But a like they have in common is Chicken Noodle Soup with lunch. Campbell’s tender chicken, firm noodles and delicious broth not only give them more nourishment, but make everything else they eat taste a little better. It’s a good soup to remember”. The last headline says that you should “Reach for Campbell’s. It’s right on your shelf”. The picture at the bottom shows a hand holding a can of Chicken Noodle Soup, right in front of a can of Tomato Soup. Hmmm.
