Description

Greyhound Ad 1953Full color 10″ x 13 1/2″ ad that makes the claim that “There’s One Sure Way to enjoy Spring travel at its best”. This ad, which is a larger version of another ad on this page, shows a wary young boy lying on the grass under a tree and looking at a laughing young girl who is gathering flowers as a Greyhound bus filled with happy travelers drives by. The pictures show that traveling by Greyhound is “One Sure Way to take it easy” and dealing with Greyhound is “One Sure Way to plan smooth trips”. They claim to have “More schedules to choose from…more through buses to more places…and fares that are amazingly low!”. This ad contains a small chart that gives the prices for one way and round trip tickets for eight of the thousands of trips they were offering.
