Description
Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for their Extra Fine Beer. This ad has a series of three drawings that tell a story about relief from the heat being just a trip to the kitchen away. The first picture shows a man frying an egg on the sidewalk while a chicken looks on with dismay and the caption says “Though it’s hot enough for this-“. The second picture shows the same man and his chicken opening the door to the refrigerator and looking in as the caption says that “It’s always winter in your refrigerator…”. The last picture shows this happy man pouring a glass full of Ballantine Beer while the chicken observes from his shoulder and this caption claims “that’s why Ballantine Beer is deep-brewed for Flavor that chill can’t kill“. The door is still open to the refrigerator and all that can be seen is one more bottle of Ballantine Beer placed in the middle of a snow-covered mountain scene. The text asks how cold do you like your beer and answers “Good and cold, if you’re like most people” before offering the advice that “Beer is usually served at a refreshingly cold 35 to 42 Fahrenheit”.
