Description
Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for Schlitz Beer. The drawing is of a scene on Christmas Eve as a couple is working on getting ready for Christmas Day. The wife is in the living room finishing the Christmas Tree and is looking into the kitchen at her husband. He is looking at the clock which reads 11:57 and is pouring the contents of a can of beer into a glass. Next to him is a case of Schlitz which he has just opened and a card that says “Do not open until X-mas”. The look on the face of his wife I recognize as the one that precedes the phrase “Why aren’t you out here working with me”. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
