Description

Ralston Ad October 1954Full color 9 1/2″ x 14″ ad for their Rice Chex and Wheat Chex Cereals. There is a large picture that shows two bowls of the Bite Size Rice Chex placed on top of an unknown number of quarts of strawberries. The text calls this a “New slant on breakfast” and describes them as being in “kid size bites that fill up with milk” yet will still “stay crisp as an ice cream cone”. To make them this good they are “Shredded, sugared just a bit, then toasted 3 times”. It also claims that these are “Not just single grains puffed up or spread out but…” then claims that the Rice Chex has “11 grains of rich, plump rice in each” and the Wheat Chex has “15 grains of golden wheat in each”.
