Description

Campbell’s Ad June 1963Full color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad for the quality of the Rice that Campbell uses in their products. On a red surface are three piles of rice from different suppliers and a spoon is lifting up several in the front pile for display to the readers. The headline says “To make the best, begin with the best – then cook with extra care” then, under the picture is the question, “Can you spot the rice Campbell cooks with? It takes 180 days to grow and costs more, but it always cooks up whole and white”. The text talks about some of the growing philosophy concerning rice and why Campbell uses the one that it does. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
