Full color 10″ x 13″ ad that wants you to feel good about having Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup today. The ad headline says that “Good things begin to happen when you have soup for lunch”. The headline is placed over someone’s place setting for lunch, a plate with a (big) bowl of Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup sitting to the right of a sandwich that looks like one piece of bread, lettuce, cheese and a tomato. I’m glad that they’re eating and not me. The headline says “Soup ‘n a sandwich – appetizing, nourishing, thrifty, too”. They call the Chicken Noodle soup a “sunny soup”, they urge you to “Sip that fragrant chicken broth. Spoon up those enriched egg noodles, those tender chicken pieces. Soup makes any sandwich better tasting, better for you”. Maybe I was too soon on discounting the sandwich.
